General Safety Information
As a general rule, please exercise the same care and cautions that you would at home. On arrival at your villa, take some time to familiarise yourself with all areas. In particular:
• Take care to look around the garden of the villa in daylight to familiarise yourself with any low walls, drop-offs or steep descents.
• Remember that children may be less careful than adults in new surroundings – so please take extra care with children on balconies, stairs and around water at all times, but especially during the first day when everything is unfamiliar. There is no substitute for parental vigilance.
Fire Safety
• Acquaint yourself with emergency exits and safety protocols.
• Observe villa-specific safety instructions.
• Identify and memorize the locations of nearest exits and fire alarms.
• Adhere to the non-smoking policy inside the property.
• Monitor and properly extinguish the fireplace and candles before sleeping or leaving.
• In case of fire, prioritize immediate evacuation without collecting belongings, maintaining calm and closing doors behind to contain the spread.
Child Safety
• Cots provided in villas may be travel cots.
• Please exercise caution as children will be sleeping in unfamiliar surroundings.
• High chairs may not have a harness. Please ensure that a child is secure and do not leave a child unattended in a high chair.
Sunbathing
Please avoid the sun’s strongest rays during the middle of the day and make use of the shade. Always use a high factor sun protection suitable for your skin type and re-apply often, especially after swimming.
Swimming Pool Safety
• No diving from the poolside or boards.
• Walk around the pool to prevent slips.
• Familiarize yourself with the pool's depth as indicated on nearby notices.
• Nighttime swimming is discouraged for safety reasons.
• Avoid consuming food or beverages in the pool area.
• Use non-breakable containers near the pool to avoid injury.
• Keep indoor furniture inside; outdoor furniture is provided for poolside use.
• Do not adjust or interfere with the pool's maintenance equipment.
Pool Safety for Children
• Adult supervision is crucial for children around the pool.
• Extra vigilance is needed when children first use the pool.
• Flotation devices are not a replacement for careful supervision.
• Know the pool's depths and where it changes.
• Keep all children, especially those who are not strong swimmers, within sight at all times.
• The rules against diving and running apply to both children and adults.
Personal Safety
• Secure your valuables in safety deposit facilities if available.
• Avoid leaving personal items visible in cars.
• Remember, local traffic rules may differ; be cautious when crossing roads.
• Report any damages or issues; don’t attempt repairs yourself.
Animals

• Keep children away from animals to prevent potential harm.
• Use provided litter bins and ensure lids are secured to deter pests.
